It’s hard to fit in when you look like a hockey player amongst rednecks

From the look of things, being a famous hockey player in Detroit doesn’t exactly get you perks. Just ask aging tough guy Darren McCarty, who had to stand in line at a Borders bookstore for an autograph from the Barenaked Ladies the day after the Wings pummeled Dallas 4-1 in game one of the Western Conference finals.

More disturbing: McCarty actually standing in line or the amount of Detroit “rednecks” wanting an autograph from the Canadian musicians?

Game 3, 8 p.m. Wings lead 2-0.

Man, McCarty is such a has-been….wouldn't be surprised if he sold that autograph to balance out some of that nasty debt he accrued….
