It's OK Memphis, One Team Had To Lose

Memphis lost a basketball game, a winning streak, #1 in the polls and bragging rights in the state of Tennessee. Things could be worse. At least Bruce Pearl is all the way across the state so you’re radio stations won’t be carrying his “It’s great to be a Tennessee Vol!” chant at last night’s alumni gathering.

Memphis fans wouldn’t have heard it anyway. They’ve been busy washing off the war paint.

We’re pretty surprised by the enthusiasm displayed yesterday by Tiger fans. Maybe it had to do with Priscilla Presley and Erin Andrews in the same building. Whatever the case, the crazies were out in full force, as were the hotties. Finally, a great basketball environment that isn’t in North Carolina.
