BC spots a wrinkle. Time for more botox, Checker.Â
We must hand it to NASCAR. It went out of the way to secure huge names for it’s 50th anniversary gala at the Daytona 500. Chubby Checker was there and could have been mistaken for a black Pat from Saturday Night Live fame. Nick Lachey wasn’t too busy so he stopped in for the day. And even Joey Galloway gave up a Florida Sunday afternoon to watch cars turn left.
The Daytona Beach News Journal has the red carpet report.
“I’ve been a fan for a while but I just never made it to a race,” Galloway said. “But I’ve gotten to talk to a few of the guys today, and I’m looking to see a great race.”
Asked who he’s rooting for, Galloway juggled the question as if it was a poorly thrown spiral from his quarterback.
“I don’t know; I think I’m going to wait until the race starts and see what moves me,” Galloway said.
While NASCAR didn’t attract top-shelf Hollywood elites, at least one looker, Ashley Judd, was in the pits. She was covered up as is racin’ wife protocol on this circuit.
