Flickr user jameskpoole recently caught Tim Tebow cruising around Gainesville on his scooter. Somewhere Darren McFadden is laughing his ass off. No helmet? One speed bump mishap and there goes the NFL and marketing millions.
Get in line, ladies, only one rider at a time.
Tebow adds to the legend. He wears jorts and talks to hot chicks all day long.

ESPN put Tebow on a moped for a promo shot during the Heisman Trophy Award Show. So this may be a cropped or up close shot of Tebow with ESPN camera guys not pictured.
I’ll tell ya, though, when the buddies and I saw him roll up on that moped, we looked at each other and then busted out in laughter. Great stuff.
AFAIK, all UF scholarship athletes get a scooter. I’ve definitely seen Tebow on his, and once saw Al Horford on the back of another guy’s scooter (which was hilarious).
I’m a student at UF, and I can vouch that this is how all the football players get around town. The team has some deal where all the players can get a scooter for a “great price.” None of them wear helmets, but I don’t remember any injuries from accidents. The highlight is definitely when two linemen double up on one scooter- it reminds me of the Guinness book picture of the world’s fattest twins.
I guess I didn’t go to a big enough school. I never realized this is standard issue for college athletes.
When one of them wrecks shit will hit the fan.
