Super Bowl Ticket Demand Always Huge, Even Prisoner Had Request

Since this Internet gig has yet to yield enough money to buy a plasma television, Busted Coverage won’t be making the trek to Glendale. We couldn’t even afford the beers if we were given a ticket. Recession be damned, people are going nuts to get tickets to see Tom’s boot in person.

How crazy is the rush for Super Bowl tickets? Just ask Brad Benson of the Giants 1986 team.

“It was ridiculous — you couldn’t stop for gas without someone saying, ‘By the way, can you get me some tickets?’ It was wild,” said Benson, who now owns a car dealership in New Jersey. “I got a call from a guy in a prison in upstate New York asking if I could get him a ticket to the game. I asked if he had a parole date coming up.”

4 tickets? 2 for the game and 2 for scalping to cover travel expenses?
