Maria Sharapova's Father Is Assassin

Maria Sharapova’s father is under intense scrutiny from Australian media after making a throat-slashing gesture.

Yuri Sharapova was captured pulling a Unabomber look. And the Daily Telegraph was all over it.

With a camouflage hood of his jacket up over his head and, as his daughter put it, looking like “an assassin”, TV cameras captured him making a throat-slitting motion as she ended the grand slam hopes of the world No.1.

“God, you guys notice so many things,” Sharapova said dismissively after her 6-4 6-0 win. “I saw him do that because he was so excited.”

At least Richard Williams has company for the Tennis Asshole Parents Club. Kudos, Yuri.
